What we collect
- What you type into the waitlist form: your email, first name (optional), which describes you, your hardware level, your project ranking, your deposit answer, country and state, and Instagram handle (optional).
- Where you came from: the link's source tag (like ?src=reel-acoustic), UTM tags and the referral code, if any.
- When you agreed: the times you confirmed you're 18+, agreed to emails, confirmed your address or unsubscribed.
- A one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself) and your browser's user-agent string, to stop spam and abuse.
- Anonymous page analytics with no personal data: page views, form steps, signups, confirmations and shares, with the source tag.
Why
To email you about your waitlist spot and BYT updates, to decide which box ships second and third, to know which videos bring people here, and to keep the list free of bots.
Who sees it
Only the BYT team. Emails are sent through Resend, which stores your email address, your first name (if you gave one) and your unsubscribe status. The database runs on Railway. We never sell your data.
How to unsubscribe or delete your data
Every email has an unsubscribe link. To delete everything we hold about you, email TODO(contact email) from the address you signed up with; we delete it from our database and from Resend.
